SJB movimentou US$ 2 bilhões em vendas internacionais no ano de 2022
A redução do isolamento imposto pela pandemia e a alta dos preços internacionais do petróleo foram alguns dos fatores que levaram a as exportações do Norte Fluminense a apresentarem um crescimento de 19% em 2022 (US$ 2,5 bilhões), quando comparado ao ano anterior. Os números estão no Boletim Rio Exporta edição especial, produzido pela Firjan, que mostram ainda um aumento de 56% em vendas internacionais originadas em São João da Barra (US$ 2 bilhões).
— Os dados confirmam a importância do Porto do Açu para a economia não só de São João, como de toda a região. Por isso, a Firjan insiste há anos, e vem levando o pleito às esferas federal e estadual, sobre a importância da Estrada de Ferro 118. Com ela, poderemos exportar grãos do Centro Oeste, e levar de volta fertilizantes, movimentando e atraindo uma grande diversidade de indústrias e diminuindo a dependência do petróleo — destacou o presidente da Firjan Norte Fluminense, Francisco Roberto de Siqueira.
Os óleos brutos de petróleo (US$ 2,4 bilhões) foram o principal produto, equivalente a 97% do total exportado pela região (avanço de 26% em 2022). A Índia (US$ 669 milhões) permaneceu como principal destino das exportações do Norte Fluminense, mas o estudo da Firjan destaca também o crescimento de 35% das vendas com destino ao mercado estadunidense. Maartje Driessens, gerente de Desenvolvimento de Negócios Internacionais do Porto do Açu, atribui esse avanço à qualidade das operações locais.
— As operações do terminal de petróleo correspondem a 40% das exportações de petróleo do Brasil. É o único terminal no país a realizar double banking (transbordo de óleo em área abrigada) e com capacidade para operar navios VLCC, de grande capacidade de carga, muito utilizados em exportações para a Ásia. Atualmente, o Açu é o segundo maior porto brasileiro em movimentação de cargas, com terminal para movimentação de granéis sólidos e carga de projeto. A projeção de movimentação em 2023 é de aumento em 60% — explica Maartje.
Noroeste com alta de 31%
Já o Noroeste registrou um aumento de vendas para o exterior de 31% (US$ 255 mil). O crescimento foi reflexo dos 78% a mais de exportações a partir de Itaperuna (US$ 38,2 mil), e uma progressão de 147% nos embarques para o Uruguai (US$ 159 mil), principal destino das vendas da região, com 62% de participação. O principal produto exportando pela região, com um aumento de 9%, foi o de pedras de cantaria ou de construção (US$ 92,3 mil), que corresponderam a 36% dos embarques do Noroeste Fluminense.
As regionais fluminenses, exceto a capital, representaram 54% das exportações do estado (US$ 26 bilhões) e 66% nas importações (US$ 16,7 bilhões). Mais de 70% das vendas externas do estado corresponderam a óleo bruto de petróleo, enquanto o destaque na importação foi para equipamentos de aviação, com compras de motores e turbinas.
