Câmara de Campos debate anteprojeto para armar a Guarda Municipal
A pauta do primeiro dia de sessão ordinária da Câmara de Campos, nesta quarta-feira (15), traz uma indicação do vereador Juninho Virgílio (União) com um anteprojeto que autoriza o uso e porte de arma de fogo pela Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM). Segundo o anteprojeto assinado por Virgílio, que é da base do prefeito Wladimir Garotinho (sem partido), há emergência na análise e aprovação da matéria. Ele destaca que a medida passou a ser possível após a aprovação do estatuto da GCM. Juninho também solicita uma audiência pública sobre o tema em abril.
Se o anteprojeto for aprovado, para virar lei é necessário que o prefeito Wladimir envie uma nova mensagem à Câmara. Em entrevistas anteriores — ao Folha no Ar, da Folha FM — o prefeito chegou a dizer que a sua intenção era armar agentes que atuam na área central. Contudo, não há essa observação, porém, no anteprojeto de Virgílio e nem é esse também o entendimento predominante na GCM.
O texto ainda prevê um acordo de cooperação técnica com a Polícia Federal, para a autorização do posse de arma para os agentes. Também dispõe sobre o cumprimento das exigências estabelecidas por lei para o registro e posse de de arma. Outro ponto é que o Poder Executivo poderá celebrar convênios para capacitação e aprimoramento profissional dos guardas.
