Francimara destaca preocupação com a violência, mas diz que SFI é uma cidade de paz
A prefeita de São Francisco de Itabapoana, Francimara Barbosa Lemos (SD), fala com convicção de que a cidade sob sua administração é “de paz”. Questionada sobre os recorrentes casos de violência no município, ela afirma que a maioria dos casos tem relação com o tráfico de drogas e acabam ganhando maior destaque por ser em uma cidade pequena, do interior.
— A maioria é de pessoas envolvidas com o tráfico, com crime. Infelizmente isso vem acontecendo. São Francisco por ser uma cidade de interior, cidade pequena, toma essa proporção. Mas São Francisco continua uma cidade tranquila, de paz — afirmou a prefeita.
A preocupação com a violência está no radar da prefeita. Francimara destaca a atuação da secretaria municipal de Segurança, da Polícia Militar e da Polícia Civil. E diz que o município e as forças policiais atuam em conjunto no desenvolvimento de projetos voltados a jovens. Conta, ainda, que chegou a solicitar no mês passado ao então secretário estadual de Governo, o deputado Chico Machado (SD), a implantação do Segurança Presente no município.
Sobre o Segurança Presente — programa do Governo do Estado que tem a atuação em Campos bem avaliada —, ainda não veio a resposta. Porém, na Alerj, há um pedido no mesmo sentido da deputada Carla Machado (PT), que além da extensão do programa para SFI, pede que também atenda São João da Barra.
