Carla Caputi desapropria área para casas populares dos moradores do Pontal
A prefeita de São João da Barra, Carla Caputi (sem partido), desapropriou uma área de 12,5 mil metros quadrados para construção de um conjunto habitacional em Atafona. As casas populares, ainda sem data para início da construção, vão contemplar os moradores atingidos pelo avanço do mar. Em dezembro de 2021 (confira aqui), Caputi, que era secretária de Assistência Social e Direitos Humanos, acompanhou a então prefeita Carla Machado (hoje, deputada estadual pelo PT) em uma reunião com os moradores da Baixada.
Na reunião, ficou acordado com os moradores um auxílio emergencial de um salário mínio para cada família, até que as casas sejam construídas e entregues. O prazo fixado, por lei, foi de um ano, podendo ser prorrogado por mais um. Na época, a prefeita enviou um projeto à Câmara, aprovado em regime de urgência (veja aqui). O decreto, datado de 24 de fevereiro, foi publicado em edição suplementar do Diário Oficial nessa terça-feira (28)
Desde então, não foi anunciado mais nenhuma novidade em relação a casas populares de Atafona. O terreno desapropriado é parte do imóvel denominado “Trapiche Novo”, localizado na BR 356, entre Atafona e São João da Barra, e pertence ao espólio de Benedito Ferreira. A área a ser desapropriada possui o total de 12.517,60 metros quadrados, medindo 68 metros de frente, 77,28 metros de fundos, 166 metros pelo lado direito e 201 metros pelo lado esquerdo.
A Prefeitura ainda não divulgou informações sobre o número de casas do conjunto habitacional. O decreto destaca, no entanto, que as residências são para “fins de atendimento às pessoas / famílias que moravam nas áreas afetadas pelo avanço do mar na localidade de Atafona, cujas residências foram interditadas pela Defesa Civil”.
