Câmara de Campos convoca Edson Batista para posse
O presidente da Câmara de Campos, Marquinho Bacellar (SD), declarou vago um cargo de vereador, em virtude da renúncia de Thiago Rangel (hoje, Podemos), que assumiu uma cadeira na Assembleia Legislativa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Alerj). Primeiro suplente do Pros, partido pelo qual Rangel foi eleito vereador em 2020, o ex-presidente da Câmara Edson Batista já foi convocado para posse em até 15 dias, a contar de 6 de fevereiro.
Edson Batista está no sexto mandato e foi presidente da Câmara de 2013 a 2016. Entre os projetos criados neste período, estão : Fundo Especial da Câmara, TV Câmara Campos, Escola Municipal do Legislativo (Emugle) e Corredor Cultural.
Na atual Legislatura, Batista chegou a assumir uma cadeira durante o período no qual o vereador Juninho Virgílio (hoje, União) esteve na secretaria de Governo do prefeito Wladimir Garotinho (sem partido).
